I’ve been putting allot of emphasis on how managers or people in general need to react during odd and uncomfortable conversations. One common question I get is how do I deal with people during these difficult situations. I’m working on a post to help open the discussion, but I just happen to stumble across this video with Bill Gates being interviewed on the BBC. Look at his facial expression when asked why Windows Vista costs more in the UK than the US. They caught him by surprise as I’m sure you can tell, but given the situation, Bill still made it out. Not as well as he wished he did, but he got around it!
